MBA students take up their project work after completion of the 1st year-end examinations. The project work duration is of 45 days. The purpose of the project work is primarily to demonstrate the application of knowledge and skills acquired during the programme, by studying and analysing the selected programme in the work situation in a systematic manner while suggesting solutions to be management. The following are the guidelines for completing project work. MBA project works should be an individual study. Group study will not be entertained.

Guide Allotment: The allocation of project guides to students is a crucial process that significantly impacts the quality of research and student experience. The following guidelines aim to ensure a fair, transparent, and effective allocation process. Project guide will be assigned by the principal. Once the allocation is finalized no changes will be allowed.
Criteria for Guide Allocation:

• Expertise: The guide’s expertise should align with the student’s proposed project topic.
• Workload: The guide’s current workload should be considered to avoid overburdening them.
• Guide Availability: The guide’s availability for regular meetings and supervision should be ensured.

Guide Conflict Resolution

• Student-Guide Mismatch: If a student and guide are not a good fit, a process should be in place to reassign the student to a different guide.
• Guide Overload: If a guide is assigned too many students, adjustments should be made to ensure a manageable workload.

Guide Role and Responsibilities

Department: Facilitate the allocation process, provide administrative support, and monitor student progress.

Guide: Provide academic guidance, support, and mentorship.

Student: Actively participate in the project, meet deadlines, and seek guidance from the guide.

Students can choose their desired and preferred organization for undergoing project work. In view of acquiring knowledge, it is suggested to choose organizations having required sample size. Students can contact the allotted guide for suggestions in selecting organization.

Title Selection (Refer Annexure A for sample project titles)
Crafting a compelling MBA project title is crucial as it serves as the initial point of engagement for your research. A well-structured title should accurately reflect the project’s core focus, be concise, and evoke interest. It’s essential to conduct thorough research on your chosen topic to identify key keywords and concepts that can be incorporated into the title. A strong title not only grabs attention but also provides a clear indication of the project’s scope and objectives.

1. Project title should be unique and must not match with any other students project title.
2. Project title acceptance will be done on the basis of FIFO system(Student who submitted the title first will be considered and prioritized).

After accepting project title student can undergo the project work in desired organization. Student must gather all the required data during the project work. Project guide will suggest required data during the process.
Synopsis Report: The Project Proposal (Synopsis) should be prepared in consultation with the guide and submit to the HOD office of Sanjeev Institute of Planning and Management. The proposal should clearly state the significance, objectives, methodology, statistical techniques to be used, limitations if any and future directions for further research, etc.

Project Report Preparation Guidelines:
Students must attend for the project work classes in the regular academics. Two hours will be allocated weekly for project work preparation. Students must attend for 3 project review sessions.
Typographic SpecificationsFont Style and Size

• Main body text: Times New Roman 12pt font size.
• Headings: A larger font size and style than the body text (e.g., 14pt bold for main headings, 12pt bold for subheadings).
• Footnotes/endnotes: Smaller font size than the body text (e.g., 10pt).

Line Spacing

• Body text: 1.5 lines spacing is commonly used.
• Headings: Single spacing.

Margins

• Standard margins: 1-inch margins on all sides (top, bottom, left, right).

Alignment

• Body text: Justified alignment is usually preferred.
• Headings: Left alignment.

Pagination

• Page numbers: Placed in the top right corner or bottom center of each page (except for the title page).

Project Review Guidelines:

1. Students must prepare PPT for review.
2. Presentation has to be given in reviews.

Project Reports to be submitted: Students have to submit the finalized report (3 Copies : 1 Original Copy, 1 copy to HOD office, 1 copy to Library) to HOD office by the due date. Students can collect the signed copy to attend viva.
